Are You Beach Ready?

The summer is here, and when the sun comes out that can really only mean one thing: it’s time to hit the beach! Is there anything better than heading down to the beach with family and friends on a hot day to enjoy the sun, sea, and sand? Of course, there isn’t! Of course, that being said, if you’re not properly prepared for your day at the beach then the whole thing can turn into a total nightmare! Here are a few things that you need to think about in order to make sure that you’re totally beach ready!

Clothes

Wearing the wrong clothes to the beach can often make it a totally miserable experience. After all, who wants to find themselves walking around fully clothed through the sand? You just end up getting sand in your shoes, you’ll be sweating through your shirt, and if you get wet, then you’re just going to end up being totally uncomfortable for the rest of the day. Make sure that you’re dressed in a way that will make the whole thing much easier. Stick with sandals of flip flops, that way you can take them off easily. After all, what’s more fun than running barefoot through the sand? Not only that but make sure that you’re wearing something light and loose fitting. Beach sundresses for women are totally perfect since they will not only help you stay cool but if you wear your bikini underneath, then you can whip your dress off quickly and go diving into the ocean without any worries. Of course, make sure that you bring a towel. You don’t want to end up putting your dress back on while you’re soaking wet.

Protection

Nothing can ruin a day at the beach more quickly than finding yourself burned to a crisp! Make sure that you’re slathering yourself in as much sun cream as possible. Yes, we all want a tan, but it’s really not worth doing some potentially serious damage to your skin to get one. You should also take a beach tent along with you so that you don’t end up being exposed to the sun for too long. Not only that but bring some bug spray along with you as well. Nothing puts a downer on a good mood quite like getting covered in mosquito bites!

Hydration

If there’s one thing that far too many people fail to do when they’re at the beach, it’s staying hydrated. Not only are you going to be sweating a lot over the course of the day but there’s a decent chance that you’re going to end up accidentally swallowing at least a little bit of salt water as well. If you’re not staying hydrated then could end up feeling really sick or even end up with heat stroke. One of the best things that you can do is to freeze some bottles of water and take them with you. They’ll slowly melt over the course of the day and that way you get water that is ice cold and refreshing all day long!

  1. Summer , wondrous word and I’m sweating more and more, sun is a goodie enemy if you aren’t hidrated and solar protection, less defenses from the skies year to years and our bodies more skin cankers in Australia, Spain…
A thing is sure … happy summer to all readers 😉😉😉😉

  2. An additional tip regarding the water bottles to take to the beach. Aside from freezing them, what I usually do is to chill the water bottles filled with water overnight and when it’s time to take them to the beach, to also ADD ice cubes into the bottles. If the water bottles also have a thermos quality, all the more temperature control will be in effect. Speaking of hit, it’s hot here where I live—30 deg plus!!!

  3. I love the beach and without the articles you named, your time will there will be miserable.
