Eat Well

As they say, you are what you eat. If you’re not eating enough fruit and veg, you may not be getting the nutrients you need for your skin to look it’s best. Your body needs a good variety of nutrients and vitamins to create that glow you’ve been hoping for. If you’re finding it difficult to add fruit and veg to your diet, why not try making yourself a morning smoothie. There are tons of recipes to choose from and it’s a delicious way of getting your 5 a day.

Take Off Your Make-up

When you’ve had a long day and all you want to do is lie down and chill out, taking your makeup off may be the last thing on your mind. However, sleeping with your makeup on can really damage your skin. Take a look at what could happen here – http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/beauty/anti-aging/a35556/why-is-sleeping-in-makeup-bad/. In fact, it’s ideal for the skin to have at least one make-up free day a week so it has a break from the chemicals that can be present in make-up. Always remember to take your makeup off before you go to bed so your face has a few hours where it can breathe.

Exfoliate

Your skin is full of cells that go deep beneath the surface. If you cleanse every day, you may not see the need for exfoliating, but it can dramatically improve your skin. Exfoliation is the last step you need to make sure all of the bacteria, dirt, makeup and everything else is removed from your skin. Without exfoliating, you risk leaving things in your skin that can’t be reached by simply cleansing.

Look After Your Eyes and Lips

When we think of facial skin, we tend to think of cheeks and chin and forehead before anything else. Your lips and eyes are just as important. Did you know you can exfoliate your lips too? It avoids having to deal with cracked skin and it can plump them up, ready for your favorite lipstick. If your lips tend to get sore throughout the winter, take a look at https://homeremedyshop.com/swollen-lips/ for tips. When it comes to your eyes, using eye drops can make a big difference. If you’re sat staring at a screen all day, your eyes may need a bit of tender loving care.

Moisturize

This is especially important in the hot weather. Our skin loses a lot of moisture throughout the day, so you may notice that your skin is dryer when it’s been washed. Use a moisturizer when you get out of the shower and make sure you drink plenty of water throughout the day. It’s not only better for your skin, but it will also allow your makeup to go on smoothly.

  1. I have never been one to take care of my skin. I have recently been making sure to moisturize 1-2 times daily. I just have such sensitive skin and break out with everything! Ugh! Great post.

  2. After having a baby, I sadly have no time for my face. I am blessed with blemish free skin which helps but because it’s Winter over here, my face is so dry! Great tips though, I should probably start putting a bit more effort into my skin! Xx

  3. This might seem like a stupid question, but I’ve heard the word exfoliate a lot from beauty gurus and none of them actually explained how to do that.
So, how does someone exactly do that😂

    1. There are many ways, but I can tell you what I do ☺. I mix coconut oil with brown sugar and rub it on my face and then wash it with water and the rest of oil is on my face 👌☺🌷

  4. Great tips, happy to read beauty tips that are not superficial but are actually beneficial and complementary to the natural beauty we can all exude if we take care of and love ourselves.
Thank you for popping in to my little blog and for following. ☺
