3 Baby Medicine Cabinet Must-Haves

Even before Lily was born, I was already researching some great products for baby that are effective and not harmful at the same time. Of course, infant acetaminophen, which is good to have in case of a fever, however, Lily is 5 months old and we didn’t open the bottle yet :). There are other must-haves that every new mom should have in their baby medicine cabinet.

First, let me start with the place I get all the necessities for Lily. Health Onwards is an online retail health store that ships across Canada. They are a group of parents and nutrition experts with a belief that health is simple. I, personally, love this idea and agree with them 100%. Their mission is to help us simplify our decision when it comes to natural health products for ourselves and our families. The best thing is that they carry hand-picked natural health products, vitamins, supplements, single herbs and baby products. Also, they are a proud member of the CHFA – Canadian Health Food Association and they guarantee the lowest prices and price match, as well. They have a great range of natural, organic, vegan, vegetarians, gluten-free, dairy-free, non-GMO, cruelty-free (Leaping Bunny) and allergen-free products.

1. Vitamin D3

Vitamin D in proper doses is necessary for infant development and healthy growth. It helps them build strong, healthy bones and teeth. Vitamin D is formed naturally when skin is exposed to sunlight, but that is not enough. Especially after applying the sunscreen, it won’t allow this vitamin to be formed. That being said, the supplement is needed for babies that are breastfed and not only.

Right after the birth, I’ve started giving Lily this Genexa Vitamin D Organic Drops I got at healthonwards.com. We will continue this till she’s 12 months old as directed on the box.

2. Homeopathic Medicine

I’ve heard many great things about homeopathic medicine and many people around me (friends and family) use these for their kids. Homeopathy, or homeopathic medicine, is a medical philosophy and practice based on the idea that the body has the ability to heal itself. This Homeocan Kids 0-9 Sinus-All-In-One is great for runny nose, sneezing, throat irritation and headaches. Again, Lily hasn’t needed it so far and I hope it’ll stay this way. If I notice any of these symptoms though, that’ll be my go-to.

3. Baby Teething Pain

We all know the struggles when the baby is teething. I love the fact that there is homeopathic medicine for this concern, as well. Boiron Camilia Baby Teething has no sugar, no dye, no preservatives and no benzocaine added. At the same time, it’s a great relief of pain, restlessness, irritability and diarrhea due to teething.

These are my three must-haves when it comes to Lily’s medicine cabinet. Of course, we do have many other products, like baby body wash, diaper cream, natural sunscreens, cleaning wipes and toy sanitizer. However, if we are missing anything, we go on Health Onwards, where we can find many great brands, such as: Canprev, Orange Naturals, Aleva Naturals, Babyganics and Earth Mama.

Small hands :D; apple cider vinegar gummies are actually mine 🙂 (which I got at Health Onwards, as well)

I am not a doctor, I only do lots of research. You should always contact your health care provider if you’re not sure about the steps you want to take.
