The Process

The Big Reveal
When I received an e-mail that my DNA test results are ready, I was super excited. I sat down together with V in front of our laptop and clicked “play”. It is made so wonderfully that the music is even played from the ethnicity you are.
I am:
- 92.8% Baltic
- 3.7% Greek
- 3.5% Scandinavian
As you can see, I’m very European :). Most of my life I’ve lived in the north-east of Poland so it’s pretty clear that I’m Baltic. I was very surprised about Greek in all of these, but I won’t lie, I’m very happy about it. It’ll explain my love for olive oil, olives and chicken souvlaki. The funny thing is that after finding this about myself, I decided to make chicken souvlaki for dinner for the very first time and it turned out delicious!
V was always saying that I might have Vikings as my ancestors. When we saw that there’s a little percentage of Scandinavian in me, we looked at each other and started laughing. I’m pretty tall, naturally blonde hair, blue eyes so there you go :). Also, now I know why I like Scandinavian style so much! 🙂
Another amazing thing, which I’ve mentioned about is finding your DNA matches. It is so great to see and be notified whenever there is someone who matches my DNA. I was suprised to find so many cousins and I hope to find way more. I’ll keep on waiting patiently and maybe one day, I’ll figure out who was from Greece in my family :).
