Fall is the season when you can get cozy and snuggly under the blanket and watch some good movies. Whether they’re new or the old classics that are worth seeing.
I’ve created a list of drama movies that I could watch over and over again, because they’re that good. If you haven’t seen them, I think you must see them. I promise, your time won’t be wasted.
Pay It Forward (2000)
If I have to choose only one favorite movie, this would be my answer. I’ve seen it already many times and I am going to watch it again.
I’ll just leave you with this quote:
“If somebody does something for you, don’t pay it back, pay it forward”
The Pursuit Of Happyness (2006)
I’m not gonna lie, I really like movies based on a true story. This is one of them. It shows a love of a father for his son. You will be fully invested in the struggles of the main characters.
One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975)
Oldie, but a goodie. It was a couple of years ago when I saw this movie for the first time at university (at one of my sociology classes). When I’ve found out that my husband hasn’t seen it, it’s on our list right now.
I’m not going to write anything other about this movie than that it won 5 Oscars: Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director and Best Screenplay.
Into The Wild (2007)
Have you ever had one of those days when you’d like to just leave everything and go somewhere far far away from everything that surrounds you?
The main character did it, he gives all of his savings to charity and hitchhikes to Alaska to live in the wilderness. I’m saying: that’s very brave.
Also, this is based on a true story!
The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
Based on Stephen King’s novel and that guy when he writes something, he writes it very well.
“Some birds aren’t meant to be caged”
This movie encompasses friendships, hardships, hopes and dreams. You need to see it to understand what everybody is talking about.
The Green Mile (1999)
Another movie based on Stephen’s novel and is about a guy who has a mysterious gift who affects the lives of guards on Death Row.
Wonder (2017)
Inspiring and uplifting story of a boy with facial differences.
Life Is Beautiful (1997)
It’s about having courage and inner strength in a very difficult times where the main characters become victims of a Holocaust.
Katyn (2007)
Last, but definitely not least.
It’s a movie that shows true events that happened in 1940 (World War II) filled with archive footage, picture and terrific narrator.
Enjoy watching them and supply yourself with a tissue or two, because I need them with most of them.
