8 Must-See Romantic Comedies

When I was single, I really enjoyed watching romantic comedies. I know, usually people avoid these kind of movies when they don’t have a significant other next to them. I, on the other hand, liked watching them and hoping that one day, I will also find my true love. At the end of those movies, true love is finally found and we have a happy ending.

I would lie if I told you that I hadn’t wanted to watch romantic comedy with someone holding my hand. Of course, I did and I was super happy to watch these movies, that I’m going to list down below, with V. What’s more, I’m glad he enjoyed them, as well.

My favorite snack for watching the movie: peanut butter, carrots and some crackers from Savor for V šŸ™‚

Yes Man (2008)

V and I really like Jim Carry’s acting so that was a no-brainer for us. Zooey Deschanel did a great job, as well. An easy and fun to watch, but aren’t they all? šŸ™‚

The Proposal (2009)

Sandra Bullock is one of my favorite actresses and I like all the movies with her. After seeing it again with V and how hard and loud we laughed, this one had to make to this list. Also, the beautiful scenery of Alaska in this movie is a treat to your eyes.

How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days (2003)

Too funny not to watch.

Leap Year (2010)

It’s a sweet, little movie with a beautiful landscape of Ireland.

Sweet Home Alabama (2002)

This one is my favorite Reese Witherspoon’s movie and again, I just really like seeing the beauty of Alabama.

Valentine’s Day (2010)

This movie shows the power of love and the storylines intertwine with one another, which I like a lot.

You’ve Got Mail (1998)

It’s a great movie for a date with your significant other.

The Holiday (2006)

This one I have already mentioned here.

Enjoy watching these movies, maybe even this upcoming weekend, whether you’re alone or with your partner. You may have noticed that I don’t write a lot about each movie, just because I don’t want to spill the tea for you :).

I’m happy to hear your recommendations, as well.

    1. That’s exactly why I like it, because it’s healthy and delicious ☺🌸

  1. The proposal and Leap Year are my favorites ! ā€œI give it a yearā€ is very nice too !

  2. Oh, you listed all great ones though I don’t believe I’ve seen Leap Year. I also love ā€œFrench Kissā€ and my favorites, ā€œP.S. I love Youā€ and ā€œThe Holidayā€. Another romantic, though possibly more serious, so I don’t think it exactly falls into the rom ā€œcomā€ category but still good is ā€œSliding Doorsā€. Good job!

    1. šŸ˜†šŸ˜†šŸ˜† I don’t eat anything at the theater, but maybe I should take carrots with me šŸ˜„šŸ‘šŸŒ¹

    1. Thank you, I’ll check the second one you mentioned šŸ™‚šŸŒŗ

      1. Love “The Proposal”! I haven’t watched some on this list. Will check them out! Great lists. Thanks for sharing.

  3. I’ve seen them all! My favourite is “The proposal”, I think is very funny and Ryan Raynolds is so cute!.
I used to watch those movies too when I was single (or alone whilst I was dating one of my awful man choices) dreaming about the real love of my life… Now I DO have that love, and I try to make even nicest stories than those movies!
    Thanks for sharing!

  4. These are all good, but my favourites, which I could watch over and over again are: Overboard (1987) What Women Want (2000) My Best Friend’s Wedding, The Holiday, 13 Going on 30, Something’s Gotta Give, Sweet Home Alabama.
“It’s Complicated” is number one for me, used to be “What Women Want” but not anymore šŸ™‚

  5. Maybe it’s just cause I’m old, But ā€œWhen Harry Met Sallyā€ and ā€œAnnie Hallā€ are classics of the rom-com genre.

      1. I haven’t seen so many movie. But some movies I watched, gave me smile whole time..but I don’t remember their name but there is a movie named ā€œ50 first datesā€ that I watched when my friend suggested me first.,ā˜ŗļøā˜ŗļø
