If you’re the kind of person that takes health and wellness seriously, an office job isn’t the ideal career path for you. Spending all day, five days a week sitting in front of a computer is not good for your health and you’d probably much rather be doing something active. The good news is, that’s easily achievable these days. The health and wellness industry is booming and there are all sorts of great jobs out there that are ideal for health conscious people that want to spend their days doing something more active and helping others to improve their well being at the same time. If you’re looking for a career change, these are some of the best jobs out there for health conscious people.

Nutritionist
Working out what you should and shouldn’t eat is so tough these days. The research is always changing and finding the perfect diet seems impossible when you’re faced with so much conflicting information about what is good for us. It’s even harder when you realize that a lot of the food that is advertised as healthy and low fat is often filled with sugar, so what are you supposed to eat if you want to stay in good shape? That’s where nutritionists come in. As a nutritionist, it will be your job to meet with clients, discuss their diet and exercise routines, and come up with a plan so they can make sure that they’re eating well and getting all of the vitamins and nutrients they need, without eating anything that is bad for them. You may also get the chance to write your own recipe books and you can run social media accounts to give people good advice on what they should and shouldn’t be eating. Some nutritionists may even start their own food brands as well.
If you want to be a nutritionist and start taking on clients, you will need to get qualified first. That does mean going back into education as an adult, which isn’t really practical for a lot of people. However, you could still work in a similar area if you started your own healthy eating blog and social media pages and tried to make an income that way.
Personal Trainer
Losing weight isn’t just as simple as exercising. If you have specific goals that you want to meet, you need to follow the right exercise regime and a lot of people don’t know how to do that, which is why they will hire a personal trainer to advise them. People often find that having a personal trainer and booking regular sessions helps with motivation as well. Being a personal trainer isn’t for everybody so you should check out this guide to why to become a PT to see whether you think that it would be a good fit for you. If you like spending time in the gym and exercising then it should be a good fit, but you’ve got to remember that it isn’t always the most stable job. Usually, you won’t get paid a salary to be a personal trainer, it’s up to you to find clients and if you don’t book enough sessions, you might struggle financially. However, if you think you can handle that side of it, it’s a great line of work to get into.
Yoga Instructor
Yoga is so popular right now because it’s a great way to exercise and tone your muscles, but it’s also good for your mental health as well as your physical health. We all lead very busy lifestyles and sometimes, it’s good to take a break and just relax for a while. Yoga has been shown to have a lot of mental health benefits and reduce stress in most people, so a lot of us are trying to work it into our routines. If you have a keen interest in yoga and you practice it regularly, it’s worth considering getting certified as a teacher.
You can earn a good living from running your own yoga sessions as long as you can find a good space to rent out at a reasonable price. A lot of yoga instructors also earn extra money on the side by putting videos up on Youtube so people can follow along at home. If you get enough views on those videos, you can earn quite a lot of money in advertising revenue from them.
If you’re a health conscious person and you have a keen interest in health and wellness, it doesn’t just have to be something that you practice in your own life. You can also turn it into a career and spend your days helping others to live a healthier lifestyle.
