When I was a little girl, I would ask my parents to buy me this one specific cake from bakery. It was custard cake, which luckily I’ve recreated myself (without these extra toppings on top, but less is more) :).
Whoever has tried my custard cake, loved it and my husband is probably enjoying it right now at his work. Yes, he loves it very much.
I thought why not share it with my lovely followers who can enjoy it, as well?! 🙂
At this time off year especially, as the year draws to a close and we look forward to the holidays, Christmas and New Year, we can also start to become a little more focused on our lives. New year is a popular opportunity to set yourself new goals, click the reset switch on your life and make some changes to how you look and how you feel. The truth of the matter is, so many people decide all of what they want to do at the very last minute. Choosing to set these goals on a whim on New Year’s Eve. This is why so many people give up during January or don’t stick to any sort of path to achieve the goal that was set. No thought went into it to ensure this was something you wanted to do or needed to do. So I thought I would share with you some of the things you could start to consider right now that will really help you switch up your lifestyle in the new year and beyond. Thinking now will give you the benefit of time and preparation, hopefully enabling you to stick to your goals more enthusiastically when January hits.
When I was a little girl, I remember celebrating my friends’ birthdays playing outside in their backyards, hide and seek and all the other fun games. Then came November and celebrating my birthday where we could only stay at home and play board games together. I remember how I was always a little sad that it’s too cold to play outside and was always hoping around September and October that maybe beginning of November will be warm this year. That never happened.
Last Sunday, my husband made my dream come true and I couldn’t be more surprised and happier!
One thing that I’m looking forward on weekends is when my hubby and I take out our favorite chips, make our own guacamole and watch a movie. We must have it at least one evening, whether it’s Friday, Saturday or Sunday. When I was making guacamole last weekend, I though I’d share it with you guys, because as far as I know it’s always good to share and since cooking and preparing food is something I really enjoy doing, it has to be on my blog, as well :).
I promise you the smell and taste of this guacamole will make you speechless!
