I’m officially in my second trimester! 🙂 The little baby is growing and with that my stomach is showing more and more. That being said, less and less clothes are fitting me, but that’s ok, because I love the fact the there is a tiny person growing inside of me :).
– for all the mamas to be out there 🙂
Slowing Down & Losing Balance
I’m a pretty active person. I’m not sitting on the bed, I’m jumping onto the bed. I’m not walking at home, I’m skipping. That’s just me since I was a little girl.
Being pregnant, you cannot do such things. It was pretty hard for me to get used to it at the beginning. Having V watching me and reminding all the time was very helpful. After I skipped, I froze and reminded myself: “oh, oh, I’m pregnant, I can’t”.
Before I’ve found out that I’m pregnant, I was doing yoga 5 times a week. My balance got so much better. In the 4th week of my pregnancy I found out how bad it is. I’ve realized that all that I’ve been reading was true about losing balance during pregnancy. It was hard for me to put my pants on (standing on one leg), I was a bit in shock.
Feeling Tired & Fatigue
For an active person is not so great when they cannot move at all. I mean they can, but it comes very hard. Oh man, I was so tired all the time. Yawning even I slept long 8 or 9 hours. Falling asleep quicker than V, which isn’t a common thing. During these first 3 months, most of the things I was saying was “I’m sleepy” :). I was very happy that V was letting me (and still does) sleep much longer. Now I kinda get used to it and I need to sleep till 8 or 9 am, because otherwise I don’t feel good the entire day.
Nausea Is No Joke
I think the worst part for me was feeling nauseous. I mean, I knew and read about it, but I had no idea that it can be that bad.
Around my 6th week I started feeling super nauseous. I had crackers right next to bed, sparkling water and ginger ale whenever it was really bad. I don’t understand why it’s called “morning sickness”. I had it in the morning, afternoon, evening and even at night.
On The Bright Side
I feel like I’m writing here very negatively, but I want to keep it real. Don’t get me wrong, despite all these symptoms, at the end of the day I’m overwhelmingly grateful that I am pregnant and becoming a mother. This it the best experience ever! 🙂
When V and I went for our first ultrasound, we couldn’t stop smiling. This baby was waving to us and dancing all the time :). Definitely took some stress off of me to see him or her so active and healthy.
I start every day with writing a little note to our baby in the notebook which one day I will read it together with him/ her. All those pains and aches don’t matter, because one day we will have our little bundle of joy with us to share this wonderful life together :).
