Second Trimester Of My Pregnancy

I cannot believe that I’m already in my third trimester of pregnancy. Time does fly by, but at the same time I cannot wait the end of it and seeing my precious girl for the first time :).

The second trimester was way easier than the first one, that’s for sure. The best thing was: no more morning sickness, hooray. That being said, all the apps I’ve been using were right. Nevertheless, here are some of my experiences when it comes to the middle of pregnancy.

Experiencing New Things In My Life

First of all, I need to tell you something that has never happened in my life before. I’ve started seeing digits on the scale that I’ve never seen before. That’s shocking, but not surprising. Also, not worrying for me. I was prepared to gain weight. I’m also prepared to go back to where I was after some time (not only after pregnancy).

Another thing was heartburn. Oh my, I have never experienced it, but V did so I kinda new what it is about. Once I had it, I knew that’s not a joke. I also learned not to eat a lot at one time, but of course that wasn’t always the case. Then the suffering came. I got myself a wedge pillow which was very helpful with this condition. I’m linking some for you below. Such pillow is also great for sitting down while reading a book or watching TV :).

Not So Great

With my uterus growing, I had to deal with round ligament pain (like every other pregnant lady). Unfortunately, there is nothing to like about it. It is a sharp pain in the lower belly on one or both sides. It doesn’t last long though, which is a great thing. V has helped me a lot with it, especially with oil rubs. Not only they are great for stretch marks (none so far on my tummy – I’m linking below some of the oils), but also, they were helping me a lot with this pain.

One more thing that wasn’t pleasant was my stuffy nose, which is normal too. It was bothering me mostly at night. I sometimes was feeling that I cannot breathe, but this has passed so I’m very happy about it.

The Best Feeling Ever

The thing that I was waiting for so impatiently was a fetal movement. At the beginning I wasn’t sure if that’s a baby or just some weird stomach movements. Later on, I realized that this is my baby girl moving. That was the best! I loved it so much and still do. The funny thing is that she is the most active when mommy is trying to fall asleep. Mommy is not sleeping and in the result, daddy is not sleeping, as well. That’s okay though, we just hope that she’ll be sleeping once she’s in her crib and if not, we will make a party at 10 or 11 pm. Why not?! 🙂

All those kicks, twists, wriggles and punches are the biggest thrills and they beat all the discomforts during pregnancy! 🙂 I can promise you that! 🙂

  3. 🙂 Such an exciting time! Babies always seem to know when it’s time for Mommy and Daddy to be sleeping…and that’s when it is time to party!!! 🙂 God Bless!

  4. Firstly, i wanna say, congratulation for your pregnancy. I’m glad to see your stomach getting bigger.
Hopefully you and baby girl always be healthy 🙂

  5. Oh my, I’m feeling exactly the same. The second trimester is most def the calmest. I’m enjoying this phase as it’s such a pleasant one. Congratulations hun once again x

  6. I’ll be having a baby girl in February, and I’d like to add another thing that I wasn’t prepared for…the fact that you can no longer see your…you know…lady parts anymore 😂 my pregnancy wasn’t planned, and I wasn’t exactly thrilled to discover I was pregnant due to the not so ideal place I’m at in my life atm, but I do agree that feeling your baby kicking and moving around is the craziest and coolest thing and the ONLY thing I’ve enjoyed about pregnancy. Unfortunately though, my stretch marks are terrible and I feel hopeless because no matter what I do they seem to get worse anyway 🙄

    1. First of all, congratulations!!! ☺💕 About seeing the lady parts, oh girl, I had so many laughs about it 😁. Hopefully, the stretch marks will slowly go away after pregnancy ☺🌷. Stay strong mama-to-be 😃💕
