Third Trimester Of My Pregnancy

To be completely honest with you, I thought that the third trimester of my pregnancy will be much worse. After seeing and listening to other mamas out there, I heard many not so exciting things. I have to tell you though that the last three months were pretty great ones.

Weight

In my second trimester, I gained lots of weight. I was afraid of what’s gonna happen in the last part of my pregnancy. If I continue eating like this and craving so many things, I won’t be able to move. I couldn’t be more wrong. I was very happy, actually, to discover that my constant hunger went away. I wasn’t craving certain things as much as I used to earlier. With that, my weight wasn’t going up as it was a few months ago.

Movement

You’re definitely bigger at the end of your pregnancy. Again, I’ve heard many complaints about it. How hard it is to do things, etc. I was definitely not able to move as fast or do as many things as I used to. Nevertheless, it was much better than I thought it would be.

Indeed, my legs were getting tired very fast. I wasn’t able to stand for a long period of time. With a little break here and there, I was still doing things I wanted to do. That was a really nice surprise for me (and V) :).

Swelling

If I had to complain about something, it would be swelling. I’ve never seen my feet or my legs as big as I saw them lately. There was a solution to that though. Having husband that massages you every day before going to bed was the best thing that could ever happen to me during this pregnancy. (Daughter, if you ever read this, know that your daddy was a person that your mommy wouldn’t be able to do that without!) 🙂

As far as I am concerned, the whole last trimester is not bad at all. The waiting game begins once you hit 38 weeks. Here, you need a lot of patience :). V & I are so ready for her and we seriously cannot wait to welcome her and hold her, hug her, kiss her, watch her… but hopefully the day will come very soon.

  1. Good for you that it is not as bad as expected. Maybe you are just not such a plaintive person (my guess), and then you work out, you are fit and your muscles are strong.

    1. Thank you so much, I don’t workout so much during pregnancy though, but I did before so maybe that helped too 🙂👍🌸

      1. Yes, of course not during pregnancy, but you did it regularly before. I think that helps a lot for endurance. And the loving support your husband gives you, is also a very important factor to keep your good spirits.

  2. Sending you all the positive baby-arrival vibes! I am currently 40 weeks and 5 days and waiting very impatiently haha. But I agree with you, only recently has my sleep been interrupted frequently (since entering early labour) but otherwise, the third trimester has not been so bad! Hang in there 🙂 We’ll both get to meet our little ones soon!

    1. Aww that’s so sweet!!! That’ll be a very special moment for both of us! 😃👍🌸💕

    1. Aww that’s wonderful and congratulations to you too!!! 😃👍💕🌼 So soon we will meet our little ones 😃

  4. Haven’t made a comment in a long while! so exciting to know your pregnancy is going really well! I had four children in the late 70’s and early 80’s! I enjoyed each pregnancy, never concerned about carrying the babies or the delivery! the last 3 were natural and the 1st the baby had to be turned so sedated. It was joyous at each of my pregnancies.I pray your will be just as joyous! Congratulations to you and your husband! God Bless

  5. I am in the second trimester of my pregnancy and have been hearing the typical “just wait until you hit the third trimester,” fear-inducing comments. Nice to hear that it hasn’t been so bad for you! Keeping my fingers crossed for myself! Haha

    1. It won’t be bad at all! Maybe only at the very end, you just want to see your baby 🙂🌺. All the best for you!

  6. Wishing for you to have a beautiful baby girl. I pray and hope that everything goes well. Take good care of yourself and the baby inside.
