My Pregnancy Cravings

I believe that all pregnant women have been there and had their crazy pregnancy cravings. I’m not the exception.

Before I got pregnant, I was thinking what I should eat, what is the best and healthiest to nourish my growing child in me. When my first trimester started, I was very nauseous. With that, I was eating mostly crackers and anything that wasn’t too smelly.

Once my second trimester came, that’s when my pregnancy cravings have started to kick in.

Ice Dessert To Beat The Hotness

When you’re pregnant, feeling hot is a big deal. Usually, I am the one that like the warmth. Not during this time. Unfortunately, V has to deal with a lot of open windows and turning off the heater constantly.

How I was dealing with it? I was having an ice cream dessert. Of course, I went for a healthier option, plant-based and with recognizable, organic ingredients – Yellofruit. To be honest with you, I cannot ever decide which flavor is my favorite. So I end up with all three and just have a little (or bigger) scoop of each. If I had to choose, I would go with the chocolate flavor and V’s favorite is the strawberry one.

Yellofruit is currently available in Canada and you can check the locations here.

Needless to say, ice desserts are my biggest cravings.

Fast Food

Normally, I do not eat fast food, unless V & I make it ourselves. That isn’t a thing during my pregnancy. I crave pizza, hot dogs and burgers. That was the case especially during my second trimester.

I would call V before he left work to get me some burgers (yes, not just one) on the way back home. Of course, as a wonderful husband, he did. When it comes to hot dogs, I was mostly making them myself. And pizza? I never can say no to that.

Now, in my third trimester, I think I’m getting better at avoiding these kind of foods though and I’m very happy about it.

All In All

As far as I am concerned, my pregnancy cravings are not as crazy as I heard of some. The crazy thing is that when a pregnant woman wants something, she better gets it :).

  1. These cravings may provide a hint at what the baby will savor when she comes into our world and grows to a little girl . Sure, many of your appetitess probably are physiological, your body desiring the nutrients it needs, but some of it is the baby “writing out” her wish list.

My mother craved rice when she was expecting me, and now I adore Thai, Cambodian Vietnamese, etc., etc. cuisines. Coincidence? You tell me.

    1. Wow, someone else craved that too, there’s something in it, I guess ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŒธ

  2. I liked your article very much Explained your very best. And I liked this thing very much. The way you write is great. And now I will always be reading your article. Thank you

  3. I am not yet married and not pregnant, but still, I find this post enlightening. You give single ladies a glimpse of what truly happens when a woman is pregnant. And overall, I think it is one of life’s mysteries I will continue to be baffled about… but always in a good way.

    1. That’s great and to be honest with you, I was listening to ladies and reading when I was single about that too ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘

    1. Lol, yes, oily food is good, I know that from my own experience ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘
