January was all Lily’s, because it is her birthday month!
We celebrated for a few days, but on her actual birthday, she requested green pancakes, “Polish birthday cake”, which was a Polish cake that I made into a birthday cake :). For dinner, of course, our homemade pizza that we made all together. It’s one of our staples when it comes to family cooking :). Needless to say, we had the best time, Lily had a blast, and claimed that it was the best birthday ever :).
We got her a few gifts that I won’t be writing about, but one of her favourite was this VTech Kidi Star DJ Mixer. It’s been over a month and she still loves making music on it, and having a party right after we wake up :). The blackout blinds are down, door closed, and we party early in the morning to start our day (on our days off). It truly is a great toy if your kiddo likes music and/or dancing.
Does it feel like spring where you are? We had a minor snowstorm last Friday and another one is coming this week, but spring can be slowly felt at our home. I have already taken out some Easter decorations, and Lily chose some clothes for herself from the spring collection of Deux par Deux. This cute set of sweatshirt and pants with pink printed flowers, off-white knit cardigan, this pink denim jacket with embroidered patches, and some more items, which we didn’t take pictures of yet. Deux par Deux is a Canadian company so we always like supporting them.
Speaking of spring already, but only a few weeks ago, Lily was trying to catch some snowflakes in the parking lot :), here:
