January 2025 Favourites: Lily’s 5th Birthday

Unbelievable thing happened. My beautiful precious; the sweetest, most compassionate girl in my life turned 5 last month. I don’t know why, but this birthday really hit me from a different perspective. What I mean by that is that, obviously, time is flying and she’s growing fast, but turning five?! It feels like I’ll blink again and she’ll be 10 and then 15, 20 and so on… I know, I know, let’s enjoy the moment right now :).

My hubby and I made sure she had the best day ever. That being said, we stayed up till 12am the day before to decorate, make the birthday cake and prepare everything so when she wakes up, she’ll be super surprised. Of course, she was and that made our hearts so happy. Her happiness is what we both love the most :).

As you can see in the pictures above, we used our balloons from last year and added some new ones from Fancy Little Day. I just love the concept and sustainability that this brand offers with their decor items. For the cake topper we went with Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood that Artsandcraftcs created for us. Lily has been enjoying watching this series since she turned 2 years old. If you want my hubby or me, we’ll sing for you any song from it :). Basically, Daniel Tiger travels with us everywhere in our car’s speakers. Not going to lie, we enjoy watching it together as a family, as well. If you don’t know it, I highly recommend it for any kid out there that’s around Lily’s age.

Let me also mention Lily’s dress, which is from Young Eden. This online store carries organic baby and kid clothes that are stylish and sustainable. Her Organic Ruffle Floral Dress is sold out, but if you’re looking for some cute and made with organic cotton clothes for your little one, I highly recommend this place.

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen the rug that I like so much that we’ve decided to put it in three of our rooms. Why? Because we have already had one in our bathroom for over a year and we’ve loved it since. This Jute Braided Rug is so nice and it looks perfectly in our space. It also comes in so many different colours, but we did choose just the natural for our kitchen and off-white for other rooms.

Last, but not least, let me mention the movie we watched: “A real pain”. It is worth watching, in my opinion. It has a simple approach I would say and I like Kierun Culkin’s acting. I also do appreciate the Chopin music in this movie and some landscape of my home country :). Let me know in the comments if you’ve seen it.
