March 2026 Favourites: Hubby’s Birthday, TV Shows, and Home Wins

March was such a good month. Between celebrating, nesting, and discovering some great TV, it felt like a month full of little wins. Here’s a roundup of what I loved!

The highlight of the month was absolutely celebrating my hubby’s birthday. I made him his all-time favourite meal — steak — cooked just the way he likes it, on a cast iron skillet grill pan. And true to birthday tradition, he got full control of the remote to watch his favourite movie. He did so with our Lily while I was preparing a snack and a birthday cake for later.

When it comes to TV, we were so happy to start watching the new season “Shrinking” on Apple TV+. We enjoyed the previous seasons, and this 3rd one was even better. The show stars Jason Segel and Harrison Ford (one of our all time favourites!), and has been praised for its performances, writing, humour, and its tender exploration of grief.  It’s one of those shows that makes you laugh out loud one minute and genuinely moves you the next. We loved it.

We also watched “Task” on HBO, and wow — another winner. It stars Mark Ruffalo and Tom Pelphrey, and the show delivers an emotional depth that’s rare for the crime drama genre, with characters that feel painstakingly human. Worth the watch, as well.

With the spring here, we finally tackled the basement this last month and it felt so good. A proper clean-out, and I got a new metal shelving unit which has been a total game changer for storage all of our luggage. Everything has a place now — honestly one of the most satisfying things I did all month. You can see here the whole process I shared on my Instagram:

My daughter has been deep in her painting phase and I am here for every second of it. Watching her create her little masterpieces is the sweetest.
