Fall Weekend Getaway At Bayview Wildwood Resort

When I was a little girl, I used to wait till all the leaves fall. When that happens, the fun begins! I just like kicking the leaves or even jump in the stack of them a lot. And no, no one is too old for that! 🙂

When the opportunity came to spend the romantic fall getaway, I was all in! My first thought was of the leaves. Now not only I can do it, but I can do it with my beloved.

We had a very lovely time at the Bayview Wildwood Resort. We had a pleasure to have some very delicious meals and go for a long walk surrounded by beautiful trees.

Delicious Friday Ending With Sweet Suprise

After the check-in, we went straight to the restaurant to have our dinner. When it comes to ordering, I need some time to decide and choose the best option. My husband is way more faster than me. Since we were there a little after 7pm, I didn’t want to take too long on deciding. With so little time, I need to say that both of our choices were on point.

For starters my husband and I ordered Asian Plate, which sounded too good not to have it. Usually we order two different things and then we taste each other’s meals. The composition of the starter was so pretty that I was in awe for like 10 seconds. We were also starving so it tasted way better than it looked.

For the main dish, my hubby went with Chargrilled New York Striploin Steak, which he enjoyed a lot. I went with turkey sandwich. The main reason of that is that it comes with sweet potato fries. This is something I can never say no to.

After dessert, we were both very happy and curious how our suite looks like. Of course, it always looks good in the pictures. Not always though, it looks that nice in reality. When it comes to this great resort in Ontario, it looked way better! We couldn’t be happier how big, nice and clean it is. When we first stepped into it, I said: “wow, I want our house to feel like this”. It’s very charming and bright, which I like very much. No wonder so many people choose to get married in this resort! 🙂 Not only the scenery is beautiful, food delicious, but the accommodation won’t let you down either.

On top of everything, we had a beautiful and sweet (literally) surprise. We found a small basket full of goodies and a sweet note from management and staff. That was very gratifying.

Fun Saturday Following The Calm Evening

Who likes buffet breakfast? I don’t like them, well I should probably say I didn’t like them. You need to one of the firsts, because after you won’t get what’s good, but what’s leftover.  Breakfast was from 8-10 am, we got there around 9 am. I’m not gonna lie, I was a little skeptic about it. To my surprise, everything was fresh and beautifully displayed. That was delightful. I also noticed that the servers kept on adding fresh Eggs Benedict, which you know my husband and I love. Of course, we didn’t taste everything. I know one thing though, that whatever you eat and whatever you like for breakfast, I’m sure you would find it at this resort.

After breakfast, we went back to our suite, changed and went out for some adventures. As I’ve already written above, the scenery was breathtaking. Especially in the fall with so many colors around you. We had so much fun on the trail that I didn’t want to go back to our suite! Not only we were laughing like teenagers, but had some serious talk how blessed we are, as well.

For our Saturday dinner, I wore my satin dress. I wanted to make it a little bit special and fancier for us. My husband ordered, again, the Asian Plate and I went with salad. It was that good that my hubby stole some from me :). I got some coconut shrimp and a spring roll so we were even. As a main dish, I had delicious salmon and my love had Oven Roast Supreme Chicken. Both dishes were: oh so yummy!

There was a live concert in the evening, but we’ve decided to stay in our suite. The resort offers range of movies, which was perfect for us! We watched “Law Abiding Citizen”, which I’ve already seen, but my husband hasn’t. I knew he’ll like it, because I liked it very much and didn’t mind watching it again.

We had a cozy movie night by the fire. If you know us, you know that’s our best way to spend an evening. Our warm and comfortable date.

It’s Always Hard To Say Goodbye

Last day is always the hardest, because you know it will come to an end. Even though we’re not early birds and the bed was so comfortable, we both jumped out of bed to get ready. Breakfast was something we were looking forward to. Again everything was so fresh and looked so mouthwatering that I could have it all at once. I did not, don’t worry :).

What is also worth mentioning and I forgot to write about is that the service was very nice and fast there! Once again, everything well presented and tasted amazing! You understand me then when I say that it was hard for us to leave this place.

I love moments when you can stop, breath and just thank and realize how blessed you are and how beautiful the world is. The Bayview Wildwood Resort was a great place to that time at.
