I’ve never been to Québec City before and I was very excited for this trip with my family (hubby and our daughter – Lily). It was also Lily’s very first time in the province of Québec! My hubby, on the other hand grew up in Montréal and he did go to Québec City before, but when he was (that) little, cute boy (I’ve seen pictures! :)) so he doesn’t remember much from that time. Basically, let me say that it was the “first time there” for all of us :). One thing I have to say to which we all agree to is that it is the friendliest city in Canada that we’ve been to so far! Seriously, people there are SUPER nice.

We spent four fabulous days and stayed at Entourage sur-le-Lac Resort in a beautiful penthouse, which had more than we could have asked for. We had a full-blown kitchen, dining room, living room along with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. All I’m going to say is that Lily had lots of places to hide when we played hide-and-seek together :).

It is a VERY well kept place and I really appreciated it. As much as the quality of the products and materials they use at this resort, their bed sheets and comforter have the OEKO-TEX® certification, (which certifies that every component of the product, from the fabric to the thread and accessories, has been rigorously tested against a list of up to 350 toxic chemicals). You go, Entourage Resort! 🙂 Needless to say, that you can also find the pool table, gym, pool, jacuzzi or visit the private beach and more.

The L’îlot Repère Gourmand Restaurant, that is located on the lowest level of the resort, was the place that we enjoyed probably the most as the family (hard to choose one place, because the whole resort is wonderful). Not only because of the mouthwatering meals, but also nicest people around and beautiful décor. Every morning we were all looking forward to heading down for breakfast. Their menu has something for everybody. Every meal is divine – fresh, beautifully presented and, of course, very delicious. One time when we were leaving the restaurant, the chéfs were preparing desserts and one of them waved at Lily and he was nice enough to offer her an orange cake, which of course, she really liked! It was very unexpected and sweet of him.

When it comes to Quebéc City, I loved being there, because it reminded me of Europe so basically, it kinda felt like home to me :). I would also say that it is one of the must-see cities in the world. So much history, cobblestone streets, European architecture and fortifications. We loved wondering on its streets and stopped by for lunch at one of the many restaurants to choose from, as well. As I mentioned before, the people are super nice and everybody is smiling at you and we smiled right back at them :).

We didn’t have the best weather during our 1st vacation this year, because it was mostly cloudy and rainy, but the timing was perfect. I’m sure you’ve heard about the wildfires in Québec and the worst air quality in years. We do live close to Ottawa and that area was hit pretty hard (with the smoke). Where we were during this time (Quebec City area) the air was very clean. Not to mention the air quality around the resort itself, which is surrounded by the lake and forests, is amazing and of course, has beautiful scenery.

All in all, if you are or planning to visit Quebéc, you should stop by and stay at Entourage sur-le-Lac Resort and have a meal or two at L’îlot Repère Gourmand Restaurant. You WON’T regret it! 🙂

Beautiful Family
Thank you so much! 🙂
Lovely family – lovely trip. I enjoyed my trip to Quebec City but I didn’t stay in a resort. I stayed in the old town in a historic beautiful hotel with a lot of steps very near where the photo of you in front of the Chateau overlooking the St. Lawrence River.
That’s wonderful! We would love to go back there again and stay at one of the hotels in old town 🙂🌸
A great holdiay it looks like, despite the rain. You are such a lovely family, and Lily has grown so much, there is nothing babylike about her anymore. I like her cheeky expression on the photo with the three of you. 😉 🙂
Awww, thank you so much, Stella!!! 🙂 I appreciate it 💖
