It’s the end of July and I’m only now writing about my June’s Favourites. Oops. I think summertime does fly a little bit faster than in any other season. Don’t you agree?
This past month was mostly about circus time, because we saw not one, but two of them in Ottawa (Cirque de Paris and Cirque Italia Water Circus). It is such a fun time for the whole family! I love watching my daughter’s face when they do some stunts or when the clown pops out of nowhere and she laughs out loud.
We visited Montréal and some V’s old stomping grounds. Lily loved seeing when daddy went to school when he was a little boy :). We also had a picnic in Mount Royal Park with some delicious food we ordered from restaurant chains that originated in Montréal, Quebec (- supporting local, of course). We played some games, and went for a long walk after all this food we had.
It was such a fun trip that I think I’m going to convince my hubby to go there one more time this summer.
Last month we did some changes to our backyard. To be exact, we added a swing to it. When I was growing up, we had a swing outside, and I always loved spending time on it. That being said, I knew that it would be a great addition for our family, and I was right. All three of us love it and we usually eating some delicious barbecue lunch/dinner on it. These are the best!
If you’re looking for a swing, I highly recommend this one. It does its job, it’s big enough for three people and was pretty easy to assemble.
Lastly, I got myself this walking pad and I couldn’t be happier with this decision. It is such a perfect option on a rainy day to get some steps in, and will be perfect for all the cold months that are slowly coming. All I do, I put it on the speed that is the best for me, play some show or a movie on TV and the 40/50 minute walk is done in no time.
