Tired feet are a common complaint by many people, and it is in most cases at the end of a tiring day. Whether your job entails standing for many hours or you tend to walk around a lot during the day, your feet will always end up tired at the end of the day, and this is one of the reasons why you are sever looking forward to getting home.
But, besides from the pressure that comes from walking or standing for many hours, there are also many other things that can lead to tired feet. And they include things like wearing improper fitting footwear, obesity, arthritis and even old age. However, what matters more than the causes of the tired feet is finding ways to relax them once you get home. But, this should also not be a problem because here are five easy ways to rest your tired feet at home.

#1 Do Stretch Exercises
Exercises might not be the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of methods of relaxing your tired feet but the fact doing stretches is one of the best solutions. Stretching your tired feet relaxes your muscles and also helps to get rid of the inflammation that might be making the feet feel achy and tired. And there are many exercises that you can try with the most common ones being calf, toe and towel stretches. But also make sure that you do not overdo things as they can make the problem worse.
#2 Ice the Feet
It is always a great idea to have an ice pack in the freezer because you never know when you might need it. And if you tend to develop tired feet at the end of every other day this is one more reason to have an ice pack around. Ice works magic on your feet as it numbs the painful parts and also helps to relax them. And one of the best ways or methods to get maximum benefits from ice is freezing a water bottle and using it to massage your tired feet by rolling them over the frozen bottle.

#3 Epsom Salt Soak
Anyone that has foot problems will tell you that Epsom salt is one of the best remedies. But whether you suffer from plantar fasciitis and heel pain or not Epsom salt will still be helpful for soothing and relaxing tired feet. It is a simple remedy to use as you only need to add a few spoons of the salt to warm water and also put a few drops of essential oil before soaking your feet for about 30 minutes. The magnesium in the salt will do wonders to your feet, and it will help with everything from improving blood circulation to reducing inflammation and pain. Also, the warmth of the water will be beneficial in relaxing your feet.

#4 Foot Massage
Nothing beats a good massage at the end of a long day. And the best thing about it is that it will leave the entire body feeling relaxed. What this means is that it is also a great way to relax your tired feet once you get home at the end of long day. And you do not need anything special to do a massage because some massage or essential oil and someone to do it (if you cannot do it yourself) should be enough. However, if you have a foot massager things will be much better for you. And this is because it will offer even better massage therapy. But, just make sure that you choose the best foot spa massager from the many types and models out there to get maximum benefits.

If you wanted to take an additional supplement to help relax your muscles even more, you could look into kratom. A natural supplement, the most relaxing kratom strains, when taken at the right dose, can really help to relieve pain and promote some serious relaxation of both body and mind.

#5 Rest the Feet
Even as you try various remedies to relax your tired feet, it is important to note that you still need to give them enough rest. Just taking off your shoes after a long day and resting your feet in an elevated position can be very helpful. But, it is always a good idea to do this after the foot soak and massage as they will feel way much better.
Tired and achy feet at the end of the day are inevitable for many people because you still need to go to work every other day. But, the fact that you still need to use your feet should not be an excuse to live with achy and tired feet. Using one or a combination of a couple of the remedies above you can relax your feet and also keep them healthy. However, you still need to ensure that you do not overuse them by taking breaks and seating down or walking around for a few minutes, shedding some weight and also wearing footwear with a proper fit.

Knowledgeable post you have shared !!

Icing the feet was the best thing I ever did. I had Plantar issues and my Dr. mentioned surgery at one point – huh. That didn’t sound like much of an option to me, so I started icing and started rolling a tennis ball under my feet pretty much every night for about a month. Behold, pain in the feet went away. Ya 🙂 thanks for sharing this important topic.
