Where Should You Travel To In The States? My Suggestions

When it comes to travel, we can all have those common places stored on a physical or mental bucket list. However, when it comes to the USA, you can be quite spoilt for choice. There are some great places, and many places on your bucket list will probably be in the states. But I wanted to share with you some of the places I think are worth being adding to your travel bucket list, if they are not already on there.

Georgia

Maybe you want to take in a more relaxed vibe and the state of Georgia could definitely be that for you. Some fabulous locations include Atlanta, and the rugged terrain includes plenty of farmland and coastal stretches. You could stay in places like the Tbilisi Marriott Hotel for a more relaxed vibe in a less overwhelming town. There is a lot to see and do in this Southeastern state including the Martin Luther King Jr national historic site.

Texas

Maybe you want to head completely south and take in the sights and sounds of Texas. A great location and state to visit with so much to offer. You have the fabulous Austin (one of my favorite cities in the world 🙂 ) which is famed for its live music scene, the history that Houston can offer and the relaxed vibe of San Antonio. San Antonio has a multicultural influence so it really could be the ideal location for holiday away.

Illinois

One of the main reasons to head to Illinois has to be the city of Chicago. It is amongst some of the largest cities in the USA and is nestled right next to Lake Michigan. It is famed for its bold architecture and fabulous skyline. If you have an eye for art then look no further than the Institute of art, which showcases exhibitions of all genres and tastes. It is definitely a place to pop on your bucket list for sure.

California

Maybe you want a different type of vacation then the state of California could be your answer. You have the chance to rub shoulders with Hollywood’s greatest, check out the Hollywood hills of shop in Rodeo Drive. You could relax in Los Angeles near the beach, or even head on a road trip to check out other places like Laguna Beach, Santa Cruz or even Santa Barbara. Finally, San Francisco is another city in this state that is definitely worth a visit, the Alcatraz prison is a must.

Florida

Finally, Florida is a state that will probably be on many people’s bucket lists thanks to all the fabulous places to enjoy in Orlando. But there is more to Florida than just them parks and Disney. You have the gorgeous beaches of the Florida Keys and Fort Lauderdale and you can also take advantage of other more unusual sightseeing opportunities like The Everglades. Especially if you have a love for adventure. Of course, Orlando is always top of the list and who can blame you.

I hope that this has given you some ideas on places to go in America for your next vacation.

  1. To my way of thinking Austin is a wondrous city contrary to L.A to me besides places as Maine’s wondrous to me and is a vast territory to nice travel experiences 👍👍👍👍

  2. Hey, you didn’t add Arizona… Well if you’re looking for a Summer vacation, you don’t want to come her then anyway… 🙂 But we are a most beautiful state with lots to see February through April.

  3. Alcatraz is something to see, that’s for sure. We used to go there for school field trips when I was a kid. It was sort of creepy.

The USA has SO many amazing places to go and things to see, whether you’re a nature fan or want to take in the various moods and cultures of the city life. I feel lucky to live here. 🙂

  4. for those who love to travel and right down to those who always wanted to, you have laid out a nice suggestion booklet with a small summary that makes a person who may have been unsure find some clarity in the transition of just where to go and why. good post !! xoxo

  5. I’m from Texas and I’m so glad it is on the list haha I lived in Austin and Dallas, both great cities with their own unique character! 2 more great places are Denver, Colorado & Philidelphia, Pennyslvania 🙂

    Loved this post!

    xx

  6. I haven’t been around the US too much, but I’d certainly suggest NY and Washington DC!

  7. Western Nebraska (Oregon Trail, Agate Fossil Beds National Monument, frontier forts, historic landmarks, Sandhills region, Carhenge, and more) and Western South Dakota (Black Hills, Crazy Horse monument, Custer State Park, Mammoth site, Badlands, and more) are interesting and often overlooked parts of the USA for visits.

  8. I have visited many places in the US especially New York and NJ one of my favorites. Florida and Texas too I’ve visited, but unfortunately even being so close to Orlando I couldn’t go there. This year I am probably opting for California, Ohio or South Carolina. So you see I am a little bit confused here and I’ve been trying to figure this out from a longtime.
If you could I would appreciate some help in deciding which state I should try for this year. I am going in November.
Oh and btw I really loved the blog. The way you’ve described the places, any person who hasn’t visited the US, well that person’s next trip will be US.

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words and I think you’ll visit every state, it’s just a matter of time so go ahead and choose whatever suits you best this November ☺🌺

  9. You have chosen many great places to visit. Make the best of your pilgrimage, store the image of every site in your Heart, and share your experiences with many.
    Do it.

  10. Hi, great post! You forgot to mentioned El Paso, TX. The Sun City. It has rank to be one of the safest cities to live in. It has beautiful mountains, multicultural and full of history.

  11. houawwww!!!!!!, hey, I just discovered your blog is great, super well built and it is really interesting, continuous like that it’s great (sorry if you do not understand too well because I’m French and I do not speak English well) 🙂

  12. What a great post! I saved it to my favourites! I hope I can go to USA as soon as possible, specially to Texas and San Francisco ^^ thanks for sharing! 🙏

  13. We made a roadtrip in Florida and I was overwhelmed by the beautiful nature ! The Gulf Coast, the Everglades, the Keys and the Overseas Highway: unforgettable ! And for Miami: apart from the beaches, what a wonderful art and architecture scène ! All these artdeco hotels! Fantastic!

  14. It’s funny, you make the point that ‘many of the places on your travel bucket list will be in the US’ but if anything, when I tell people the US is indeed high on my list, most do not share the same sentiment. Maybe that’s just the people I hang out with haha
