I love barn doors! And, framing my grandbabies art for display! Too, being eclectic and soon become bored with my environment, am a huge fan of neutral. I keep it simple with predominately neutral large furniture pieces, even my plates in the kitchen, where I can add pops of color via throw pillows, decor items on tables, throw blankets, serving dish etc. That way, when I can become bore, I can easy and frugally, simply change the simple items to a new color and freshen and update the overall look.

Good ideas, Ula, though you won’t be able to follow some of your own advice (#2 – “Your Kid’s Art”) for at least a couple years yet.
What to do in the meantime? I’d suggest going to a local nursery school with a bag of candy, a tablet of paper and a bunch of crayons. Tell the kids, “One chocolate for each drawing you give me. But it has to be good. Scribbling doesn’t count.”.
