First thing I have to tell you is that after first three months, the time with the baby just fliiiiies! Lily is already 8 months and I’m way too late to write this update, but better later than never, right? 🙂 Let’s get to it then!

Some Stats
V and I were beyond happy to hear from our family doctor that Lily is above average in height and weight. I’m so thankful that my baby is strong and healthy. Well, that’s what we’ve been praying the most for since she was conceived and prayers are the most powerful weapons God has given us so there shouldn’t be any surprise :).
I’m also happy that my weight is going down nowadays way better than it was at the beginning of my postpartum. (Yes, it might be because I’ve slowly started to get back to my workout routines.) Also, I fit in some of my dresses I wore before pregnancy so that’s great, as well. Please know that they are stretchy, just to be clear, lol :).
Sleep & Eating
Lily has no problems with sleeping if only she is held :). She sleeps like an angel and of course, neither V nor I can resist this beautiful sleeping face on our chests so that’s perfect with us :). At night, luckily, Lily sleeps on her own (no holding necessary) and it lasts about 11 or 12 hours so we cannot complain. The only thing is that, she, of course, still wakes up for a feeding or two (or three) and when baby wants to eat, baby gets what she wants :).
We started solid foods when Lily turned six months and it’s going amazing. Well, there are some foods that don’t go so well, like here:
I love the fact that my baby loves the food, for example with ginger in it! I wouldn’t expect a 6-month-old to eat spices like that, but that’s wonderful. V and I are saying that she’s just like mommy and daddy (we love spices) :).
Temperament
With Lily getting bigger, we have sooo much fun with her. She is such a ray of sunshine! When she wakes up, she has the biggest smile on Earth :). I love how babies are so happy with such simple things, no fancy cars or big homes needed – I always loved it, but now especially seeing my daughter so happy makes my heart super duper happy :).
Lily also really loves books, which again is a great thing for us to see. V and I love reading to her a couple times a day. When she is left alone (but supervised), she’ll grab a book and just go through each page – it’s so sweet :).
What’s more, Lily is a very brave little girl. It was so hard for me to believe when she didn’t cry when she got her last shots. The doctor herself was in shock! I was so worried about her before that visit and then it turned out that I was way more afraid than I should be. Also, when Lily hits something and I’m ready to hug, cuddle and comfort her, because it must have hurt, she just makes this sad face and that’s it, she does not cry. Well, of course, she does cry, but she really can bare the pain sometimes very bravely.

Milestones
I feel like many things happened in the second trimester, because Lily started to sit down on her own at the end of fifth month. She has also started to crawl when she was 6 months. First two teeth also showed up together – that was a really painful experience, but again, I think Lily went through it very well.
Mom’s Update
When it comes to me, well, this period was way easier than the first three months. Unfortunately, I still remember all the pain (will I ever forget it?), but it is all gone and that was making me very happy each and every day. I was really grateful for not having any pains! 🙂
I was still taking my prenatal vitamins, my milk supply was amazing and I was very happy to breastfeed Lily for 6 months. Now, I’m just going to go with the flow, till the last drop of breastmilk :). I must say that fennel and oats really make a difference when it comes to my milk supply.
As I mentioned above, my weight has started to drop a little quicker than before, but I have also started working out which has made me feel very good. It was very hard at the beginning, but I’m slowly getting better at it. I cannot wait to get back to my form before pregnancy with yoga and all :).
Of course, I need to mention that I’m beyond thankful that my husband (V) is with us helping me so much and that we can enjoy our precious Lily and watch her grow together! 🙂

Find me on social media, because it’ll be great to have you there and follow me :):
Hahaha, love the food faces. She’s so adorable! Get the tiny teething pellets from the natural section in a store such as Outpost, Health Hut, Fresh Thyme, etc. No pain, fever, slob, or misery while teething. I used them on my child at the time, and my mom used them on us. Works great! They come in small tubes for a variety of issues and dissolve quickly.
Thank you so much for letting me know! 🙂💕
So glad Lily is growing and healthy! She looks like such a happy little girl 🙂 The weight does start to come off a little better as time goes on. I always go by the “it took nine months to put it on, it takes (at least!) nine months for it to come off!” And sometimes more like a year, lol. You look beautiful! God Bless you and your family!
Aww thank you so much and I really like your saying!!! 🙂💗
Thank you for sharing!!… “ The love a mother has for her children is legendary, it is said a child is the mother’s heart outside her body.” (Author Unknown)… 🙂
