Friday’s Five: Birthday During Pandemic

Last weekend some people were celebrating Halloween, but we were celebrating my birthday :D. Yes, I’m a year older… again :), but let me get to some details below :).

1. My Birthday

Like I said before, I focus on the things I’m grateful for in 2020. You would think – surprisingly, but this year I had the best birthday ever!!! Of course, one- because of my sweet Lily and second – my hubby made it really special for me. I loved, especially, the breakfast in bed – oh these moments I will cherish forever. Simple, yet beautiful!

As always we made lots of delicious foods (my favorite, like seafood pizza and other :D), of course birthday cake and after we watched newest episodes of “This Is Us”. V and I really like this show so that was a treat and the timing was great! 🙂 Next day in the morning V brought me breakfast to bed and that included croissants so I was a very happy camper :). The best part of all of it was a little dancer that was climbing on me all the time 🙂 – yes, I’m talking about my Lily :). This girl doesn’t stop dancing – she is so like her mommy and I’m lovin’ it! 🙂

2. Cake

My birthday cake was made by Cakerie Craft and it was not only beautiful (as you can see in the pictures), but also very delicious. I had no idea that chocolate dulce de leche can be that good! 🙂 V and I loved it! 🙂 Highly recommend if you’re looking for a cake and live in GTA area.

3. Collagen from Canada

I do talk a lot about adding collagen to my coffee 🙂 and now I’ve tried a new one from Organika and I have to tell you that I really like it. On top of that, they’re Canadian so love supporting Canadian brands. Their collagen has only one clean, single ingredient and is sourced from grass-fed, pasture-raised cattle. Also, it’s free from all hormones and antibiotics.

4. Towel Pillow Cover

I’ve already written about satin pillowcase I’ve been using here. I don’t know about you, but I often go to sleep with wet hair. Unfortunately, I don’t always have time to do it otherwise (new mama here) :). Towel pillow cover from Kitsch is a really great addition to my pillowcases, because whenever I do go to bed with wet hair, I put this one on and my hair nicely dry overnight. Great and very helpful invention :).
