These two summer months went by so fast that I’ve decided to combine them into one blog post. Here are my favourites of July and August 2024.

The most exciting thing for my family and I was our first time seeing Cirque du Soleil. We loved the show, but before I’ll jump into writing about it, I want to mention something. Actually, give you an example how life is so unpredictable.
When I was in high school, I had French. One time we had to memorize the dialogue and I remember till this day that it was about the person going to see the Cirque du Soleil. Let me tell you something here. As some of you may already know, I lived and went to school in Poland. If somebody came up to me and said that one day I’ll receive an exclusive invitation to attend the Premiere Event for Cirque du Soleil’s ECHO in Gatineau / Ottawa in Canada, I would probably say: “you’re a crazy person, go away from me” (assuming that would be someone I know, because I wouldn’t say something like that to the person that I don’t know, just to be clear). The whole thing is just unbelievable to me how it all works, how God works!
The performance we saw from Cirque du Soleil was ECHO, which is their newest production. It combines poetry, stagecraft, daring acrobatics, and technology that explores the delicate balance between people, animals, and the world we all share. It was incredible and all three of us truly enjoyed it! Between us, I cannot wait to see their other productions now and if you ever have a chance, don’t hesitate :).

I cannot believe that fall is almost here, but I am very excited about it, because it is my favourite season. I am very happy about our garden we created this summer though. We stepped our game this year and got the Vegepod’s raised garden. It was so much easier to grow things: no back pain and barely any unnecessary weeds.
Since this blog post is getting longer than usual. Let me just mention one more of my favourites and this time I’ll mention the pot and pan I’ve been lately enjoying using. Always Pan and Perfect Pot from Our Place have their ceramic nonstick coating made without potentially toxic materials like PFAS (including PTFEs and PFOAs), lead and cadmium. It’s a perfect option and alternative to my stainless steel pots and pans. Also, they come in many cute and fun colours.
Find me on social media, because it’ll be great to have you there and follow me 🙂 :
