My family & I had an opportunity to visit @batonrouge_downtownottawa 😃, which has been recently refreshed with a beautiful new look, and the new design includes a dedicated wall for local artists! 🖼️ Of course, I cannot not mention the delicious food we had! 😋🙌

Here’s what we tried & enjoyed:

Appetizers:
▫️Tempura Shrimp
▫️Crab Cakes
▫️Mini Yorkshire Puddings
▫️Cauliflower Wings
▫️Calamari

Mains:
▫️Grilled Peach Salad (with chicken) - my favourite!
▫️Truffle Gnocchi
▫️Bâton Rouge Burger
▫️Classic Surf & Turf

Dessert:
▫️Crème Brûlée

& their delicious mocktails!

Our rate: 8.5/10 🙌

👩🏻‍🍳Recipe:

• 2 cans of Rio Mare Solid Light Tuna in Olive Oil
• 1/2 cup of rice (I used pearl rice here)
• Half a can of corn
• 3 hard-boiled eggs
• 2 pickles
• 3 tbsp yogurt
• 1 tbsp mayonnaise
• Chives
• Salt & pepper

In a bowl, add rice and two cans of Rio Mare Solid Light Tuna in Olive Oil. Then add diced eggs, diced pickles and corn. Mix mayonnaise with yogurt, salt and pepper. Add it all to the bowl and mix (or don’t mix if you prefer it that way) 🙂. Enjoy! 😋

How are you feeling? 🙂 I feel that in the new year, we always see or hear about “resolutions” people make around us. Nothing wrong with that, but I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t have to be you, as well, so don’t feel bad if you don’t have any.
Maybe you’ve been working on your goal for over a year now or years, or maybe you don’t have any, because you just want to live the life the way it is, because it is perfect that way, and if there’s something wrong, you’ll fix it along the way. Or maybe you have one or more goals for this year, then I’ll say: go get it, girl! No matter the case you are in, I’m here to tell you to always listen to your gut, because only you know what’s best for you 🙃💗.

We had so much fun at #alightatnight @uppercanadavill , as always! 😃🧑‍🧑‍🧒🎄
We loved the Toy Train Ride 🚂, having some hot cocoa ☕️ and a little something to eat 🍔 at the Harvest Barn, and of course, seeing the Victorian Saint Nick 🎅 and all the beautifully decorated trees and buildings ✨. We also did some shopping at their Village Store and got some FRESH bread that we highly recommend you get one (or two like us) whenever you visit - it’s the best! 🍞👌
