For example, if you are aiming to lose weight, give yourself realistic weekly targets in a step-by-step approach to achieving your long-term goal. If you want to build muscle, give yourself certain strength targets that you want to achieve on a regular basis.

As well as the time you actually spend working out, there are other areas of your life which you can adjust to make your goals a more realistic prospect. For example, you could make a meal diary so you can keep track of exactly what you are putting in your body on a daily basis. You could also make a commitment to doing more of your own cooking rather than eating out all the time. Maybe you could also go to bed half an hour earlier every night to give your body the recovery time it needs. Ultimately, all of these things will have a significant impact on your ability to hit your goal.

  2. So I was looking for a fitness related article today to see what people are advising and doing. Of the 6 I have read this by far is the most realistic and best advice. It is really all about breaking down the big picture into many tiny pixelated ones and just take one step at a time, that leads to thousand miles. I wish more people gave holistic advice like you and more people followed it too.
