My New Habits For 2019

I’m sure you’ve seen many articles about new year resolutions, goals to achieve by the end of the year and dreams to come true.

This year I would like to concentrate more on the habits I can incorporate into my life. Habits, that can become my new lifestyle.

1. More Down Time

I’ve always wanted to read more, but over the years, even though I wanted to that didn’t happen that often. That’s why this year, I’d like to spend more time for myself, being offline. More down time, whether it’s reading a book or just listening to music and dancing or maybe going for a walk and taking time to reflect. I want to have at least an hour or half an hour daily when I do something for myself, just because.

Your mind and happiness are the great investments in your life. Personal growth is my number one.

2. Health Is Wealth

I always try to eat healthy, I want to watch what I eat and what I put on my body even more this year. I do not want to lose weight, I want to keep the weight I’m most comfortable with all the time.

I’m sure, you know what I mean when I say that you stay on track on eating healthy, but then this snack happen and after that the other snack comes. Whatever is the closest is not always the best choice for you.

I feel my worst when I’m not healthy, not working out or eating bad. I’m happy I’ve stocked up on Amazing Grass products, because I’m saying stop to not well thought through choices.

3. Soak In Every Moment

I said it before and I’ll say it again: life flies like crazy and 2019 will happen once in our lifetime. Let’s make the best of it and enjoy each and every moment. Every failure is a lesson, every achievement another reason to be happy.

4. Get Rid Of Clutter

On January 1st, I already started cleaning all the Christmas decorations with V. Next, I wanted to get rid of the things we don’t need as much as I could. (You have no idea how many things you can get rid of when you’re really in a “cleaning mode”). I find it very therapeutic and satisfying after the cleaning and organizing stuff around me.

5. Be Efficient

I do want to spend some time offline every now and then, but work for me is important. I want to bring for you lots of great content and don’t waste your time. So working efficiently is very important. That’s one of my biggest focuses in 2019.

I want to be a better person than I was in 2018. I want to be better, kinder, healthier, more productive and more positive and I want to wish you the same in 2019! šŸ™‚

  1. Thanks for sharing this. I have several things that I want to do this year and I feel this will be a different year for us. I found several of these items you listed is something I want to help me reach my goals. So thank you. I wish you the best with them and have a great year ahead!!

  2. Ah. Getting rid of clutter. That always strikes a chord. It almost seems futile at times. But I agree, there are times when you just want to shove things out of the door. The problem is when after shoving them out, something else actually takes their place. It is an endless cycle. I hope you do better than me. šŸ™‚

Good luck with your new good habits!

  3. Focusing on heathy habits that bring wellness and happiness is such a good idea, and I love the things you want to work on for this year. I share a few of these, and I especially love the one to ‘soak in every moment’. Wishing you a bright, happy New Year lovely – I hope 2019 is a great one for you šŸ™‚
    Caz xx

  4. Your new habits are good for your heath. Spending more time with family, friends offline always better than just around the computer or smartphone all day. Online all the time might makes us get sick and very bad for our heath.

  5. Me and clutter have a love/hate relationship haha I love to decorate shelves and tables and whatnot, but I hate when I let myself go too far and things look crowded or a mess- I’m hoping I can minimize that this year (:

  6. that’s a really great list and writing it down always helps.
I haven’t done it this year yet, but I will now.

    1. For sure, at the end of the year I can come back here and check on myself 😃🌸

      1. of it’s fun to do that…more often than not you are pleasantly surprised.

  7. That’s a great list, some shared on my own list, really enjoy your blog, keep up the wonderful writing and sharing ideas and hope you both have a fantastic 2019!
    Steve.

  8. I’ve also resolved to be a better person this year. And I guess it won’t hurt if I went outside my comfort zone to meet new people and possibly make new friends.

Good luck achieving this resolutions. Have a happy 2019!

  9. I think it is good to have down time, where you really just lay quietly, look out the window, and think about stuff. New habits are good – especially when it comes to taking care of your well-being, both in mind and in body.

  10. If we do not make this the focus for a new year or even a new day, we might as well give it all up. A daily read will be a pointed guide for progress. Good way to present your thoughts.

  11. The cleaning really has therapeutic effect on me as well. I always enjoy reading your blog, you have so many ideas šŸ™‚ cheers

  12. They seem very achievable for you, I can’t wait to see how you feel at the end of this year having hopefully accomplished some of them. Lots of love and best wishes for this year!

  13. I just downloaded a new app called MyFitnessPal, and you basically have to put in what you’ve eaten that day and it will tell you if you’re reaching the nutrients that you should be having daily – it’s awesome at helping you maintain an actually healthy diet and opens up to all the low-key shit we eat daily šŸ˜‚

  14. Great post! All the very for the 2019 journey šŸ™‚
“Personal growth is my number one.” is also my priority in 2019.
    Have an enriching 2019!
