Just because you have a chronic illness should not mean you can’t make money and have a job or your own business. Many chronic illness battlers make money by owning their own business! You can sell products, sell your services or even run a blog. There is a way to balance this all together and let’s run through how we can make it a reality…..because it is.
Look After Your Body
The most important thing is to listen to your body above everything else. We may have goals set and itineraries for certain days but that we want to accomplish each day healthily and not ignore our bodies. If you continue to work too hard and don’t listen to when your body needs a rest or some time out, then we will run out of desire and energy. It’s better to have a balance and getting enough rest is OK. Even if it means having a sofa day or a bed day, it’s important to take time off, not taking time off is more damaging.
Keep A Diary
Make a diary of your health and look for patterns. If you are at home and you struggle with daily tasks, it may be that you already have home care services and you already have assistance day to day. If you have a few issues, you may want to look at any trends in your diary relating to your symptoms and your moods and this way you can balance your life and work around this diary. If you know that you get moody and down and are more affected by one of your symptoms towards a certain time of the month, then you will ensure that you take that time to rest more. Make a note of what foods you eat too as many times things can be linked back to our diets and this way you may be able to make yourself feel more energized to work and have the right diet in place.
Find Inspiration In Other Place When The Time Isn’t Right
If you are not inspired by any ideas and you are struggling to get out and get some inspiration then find it in other places. Listen to your music, watch something that inspires or look at magazines lying about the house – this can really assist you. You don’t have to leave the house to be inspired and this way also, if you don’t have the energy you can rest on the couch and listen to something on your computer, you should get together some inspirational podcasts and things that will keep you focused. It will also help cheer you up mostly, so be sure to have these things to hand.
Don’t let the lack of energy and inspiration hold you back, you can still learn and find new things to be inspired by all the time. Your illness doesn’t have to hold you back, it can give you the life you want, and it all starts with you.
