It’s a new year and chances are you’re already seeking ways to better yourself, achieve more goals, and get more done. If that’s the case, then the tips you’ll learn here can make all the difference in the world.
But first, you need to resolve that you want to achieve more and want it badly. The easiest way to do this is by tying your goal to an outcome –one that you crave so much or one that you want to avoid so terribly. You’ve got to be in a state of mind that absolutely desires what you want. That being said, here’s how to have a great year.
Clearly Set And Define Your Goals
What exactly are your goals? And no, just saying you want to be financially free doesn’t count. That’s too vague. You have to get specific. If you want to earn more money, how much exactly do you need to earn to push you towards that goal?
Do you need to earn an extra $5k or $10k a month? If yes, then you need to set that goal and add a deadline. Then, make figuring it out the single biggest focus of yours.
Go and acquire as much useful information or skills as you need to, to get earn that much. Then, apply the information or use those skills until you get the results you desire.
Have A Daily Ritual
Remember that our goals and lives are typically a sum of all the moments in our lives. Therefore, every minute, hour, and day matters a ton. So, develop and commit to a daily ritual.
If you want to get healthier and lose 20 pounds by December 31st, 2022, commit to daily lifestyle activities that will help you do just that. To lose 20 pounds in one year, all you have to do is lose about 1.8 pounds per month or 0.42 pounds per week –that’s less than half a pound.
So, get on a program that will help you lose just that and do it every day. If it means moving around more for 30 minutes a day, cutting 10 percent of your calories, or drinking more water, just do it every day.
Reward Yourself
Set milestones and reward yourself accordingly. This can be with little things like a 100 days of school shirt if you’ve been consistent at school, a bottle of expensive fragrance, a night out at a fine restaurant, or a nice car.
There’s really no limit to this, but make sure you celebrate your wins, small or big. This will train your brain to desire even more achievements and actually seek them out. Far too many people don’t reward themselves enough, and then they wonder why they have no motivation.
Use A Vision Board
The mind is built to follow what the eyes see. A vision board takes advantage of that in-built predisposition and helps you focus on your goals. Get a vision board filled with a fully complete version of your dreams.
Have a dream financial goal? Take a blank check, write how much that is and put it up on your vision board. The same goes for your physical, mental, spiritual, and relationship goals.
Spend 5-10 minutes a day looking at and reveling in the feelings of achieving these goals, and then go about your day. It’ll anchor you and direct your focus, thus helping you achieve that goal faster.

In October of last year, I came to a point where I really wanted to change my life a bit. To take care of myself more, and exercise more (which I had been negleting for several years because of family issues and my own self-doubt). So I set myself a goal, pushed towards it, and have since even pushed past it. It nothing tremendous, but for me it is very important. I try to stay committed to a small exercise regime, and only allow myself one or two days of rest at the most. And it’s working, Ula! Keep your fingers crossed that I don’tr stray from this path 🙂
That’s wonderful! Just keep going and don’t give up!
Thank You! I really hope I won’t give up this time… Only recently I took a longer bbreak duee to the horrible heat here lately. But I want to get back into it as soon as the weather settles.
