May 2025 Favourites: Saying Another Goodbye

May was a very up and down month for us.

At the beginning of May we said goodbye to my father-in-law, who was 90 years old. That being said, we’re very glad that he had a long, well-lived life. I am forever grateful to him for teaching me (in the garage!) how to make chicken curry, which I have been making for my husband and daughter almost every week :).

What’s more, since my parents never met my in-laws, I do hope and think that they finally met each other :). I do also want to believe that they have nice conversations up there in heaven about their kids meeting and getting married, and about their beautiful granddaughter :).

At the end of May, we had a wedding ceremony and reception to attend to. To be honest with you that was my first Canadian wedding I was at. I loved being there with my hubby and daughter and having a little fun with them on the dance floor in our matching (all blue) outfits, of course :). We love matching if you don’t know that already.

On May 27th, we had the opportunity to see “Paw Patrol Live! A Mighty Adventure” at Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa and we loved it. As far as I am concerned, it is a great way to introduce your child to live theater.

When it comes to what we have been recently watching is the TV series “The Chosen“. It “is a historical drama based on the life of Jesus and those who knew him”. It is so beautifully and well made that my husband and I look forward to watching new episode each day and soon the new 5th season. Cannot wait! Have you seen it? Let me know in the comments section :).

  1. I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your father-in-law. I’m happy to hear that you were able to experience moments of joy in May. Those moments make the sun shine on dark days.
