A couple that cooks together, stays together

I’ve started eating spicy food (adding cayenne pepper, jalapeno peppers, banana peppers, etc.) because of him. On our second date ❤, my boyfriend took me to the Thai restaurant. I had no idea what to order so he did it for me and I was sweating while eating the meal, but trying to play it cool 😃.

Health benefits of spicy food: weight loss, heart health, cancer prevention, pain relief and longevity.

Health benefits of cayenne pepper: helps digestion, relives mirgraine pain, prevents blood clots, provides detox support, relieves joint and nerve pain, supports weight loss, works as anti-irritant, treats psoriasis, boosts metabolism, fights cold and flu, source of vitamin A, contains vitamin E, prevents allergies, possible anti-cancer agent and anti-fungal properties.

My boyfriend has started eating more (even raw) onions, because I do it very often. My favorite sandwich is bread, butter and raw onion (lately I’m using Spanish onions, but I change it from time to time, because there’s so many of them, yum).

Health benefits of onions: helps fights cancer, protects heart health, helps maintain strong bones, can help prevent or manage diabetes, lower risk of arthritis and asthma, defend against respiratory infections and may help improve fertility.

So as you can see, we’ve improved each other by staying true to our own eating habits and brought these habits into each other’s lives ☺.

When we cook together ❤ we only use extra virgin coconut oil or from time to time, extra virgin olive oil, but nothing else. The post about healthy oils I’ve already written here, you can take a look at it (if you haven’t done it yet).

Also, we always put many seasonings, but our most common are:

Ginger

Health benefits: nausea relief, digestive support, heals ulcers, boosts immunity, improves diabetes, anti-fungal, reduces pain, fights cancer, weight loss and anti-inflammatory.

Turmeric

Health benefits: anticoagulants/ antiplatelets, anti-depressant, anti-inflammatory, arthritis management, cancer treatment, diabetes management, gastrointestinal treatment, cholestreol regulator, painkiller and steroid.

Garlic

Health benefits (of raw garlic): combats heart disease, potential cancer fighter, controls blood pressure, treats cold and infections, helps reverse hair loss, help improve dementia symptoms and treats diabetes.

Basil

Health benefits: contains disease-fighting antioxidants, acts as an anti-inflammatory, fights cancer, contains antibacetrial properties, contains antimicrobial properties that fights viruses and infections, comabts sterss by acting as an ‘adaptogen’, fights depression, promotes cardiovascular health, supports liver function and helps detoxify the body, helps alkalize the body and improves digestion, can act as a natural aphrodisiac and helps protect from diabetes and metabolic syndrome.

Oregano

Health benefits of oregano oil: reverse or reduce: bacterial infection, fungal infection, parasites, viruses, inflammation, candida, allergies and tumors.

Himalayan salt

Health benefits: improves respiratory problems, balances body’s pH, natural digestive aid and better sleep inducer.

Cayenne pepper and onions, which were both mentioned above.

All in all, I’m the cutter, he’s the chef ☺.
