Birthday Staycation At Westin Harbour Castle In Toronto {Video}

Last weekend, my husband and I were celebrating the most handsome and the most wonderful man’s birthday, who I love doing life with. The man I’m talking about is V, of course, the love of my life! ๐Ÿ™‚

We spent two nights at the Westin Harbour Castle hotel, which is located in the heart of Toronto. The most amazing thing was that we had a very beautiful and spacious corner room with a breathtaking lake view. I loved waking up there with this incredible scenery.

We got to the hotel on Friday evening, so unfortunately, we didn’t see a lot of that view that day. Nevertheless we had a very nice evening. After taking a shower, we got into our (very) comfortable bed, cuddled up and watched some TV.

Beautiful & Delicious Morning

The next morning, V and I woke up before the alarm. I think we were both too excited about our day. We also had a chance to check out the views and they were breathtaking. Our room was on the 27th floor so it couldn’t get any better.

After we got ready, we went for our buffet breakfast to the “Mizzen” restaurant. Once we were there, I smelled so many good things, that I “attacked” the food right away. Of course, some eggs, potatoes (they were too good!), omelette, lettuce, smoked salmon, fruits, etc. In details, you can find out everything in my video :). All I can say is that, our tummies were so full and so happy that I’ll always remember how good it was. Oh, I would almost forget that coffee and tea were so delicious, as well.

Fun & Very Snowy Afternoon

I’m not sure if you know that already, but I really like the snow :). I was happy that we could go for a walk in the afternoon when it was snowing a lot. Luckily, it wasn’t too cold so that was very helpful for both of us (V is not a huge fan of winter).

Even though, I was already in downtown Toronto many times, I’m always very happy (too happy) to go back there. Especially, to see the CN Tower and to find out more about it (why, etc.), I recommend you to watch my video :).

I really enjoyed our walk around downtown. The location of the hotel is so convenient. It’s a great place to stay at, because Westin Harbour Castle has multiple partnerships that provide their guests with great discounts. You can book tickets to CN Tower, Ripley’s Aquarium, Royal Museum Ontario, and many more through their Concierge. The best thing is that, all these places are the walking distance.

After we got a little cold, we stopped by for some hot drinks and then for some lunch. Of course, again the location is so good that you can have whatever you wish for, because Toronto is famous for its variety of food.

Beautiful Evening

Since we were there to celebrate V’s birthday, we wanted to have an intimate dinner in our room. It was a great decision. The server came to our room (at the exact time we asked for) with the table and hot meals. Everything looked so darling. I was in awe.

V chose Sea Salt Brick Chicken and I went for Miso and Burnt Onion Dash with Whitefish. We were both very happy and satisfied with our orders. The more amazing thing was our dessert time. V and I chose the same thing: Torched Banana and Caramel Popcorn Ice Cream Sundae and not only it looked so delicious, but the taste was mouthwatering. You can see in the pictures below, what I did when I finished mine :).

There was also an appetizer, which we actually decided to leave after our dinner. We got some Skillet Nachos to share while watching a movie on the bed.

Our Last Day

On Sunday morning, V woke up and got up before me, because as he said: “you looked so calm and beautiful”. He did wake me up eventually with a kiss and opened curtains and the sun was beautifully coming into our room.

After this birthday, I’ve realized together with V that whenever one of us has birthday, it’s always a great treat for the other person, as well.

We love celebrating our birthdays together, spending some very quality time and simply reminisce. Treating each other with the things you cannot buy, because as far as I am concerned, the most precious thing you can give someone is your time.
